May 8, 2009

HW due Mon., 5/11

Finish research for Ch. 1, 2, and 3. Note card minimum = 70 cards. Notes must be organized with dividers for each chapter, with dividers within each chapter that go with sections for your outline. Your research should be complete and you should have what you need to write your paper, including primary sources for each chapter.

Also, read pp. 25-39 in the packet.

Finally, you have a quiz on bibliographies and note-taking on Tuesday.

Yes, I'm a mean, cruel teacher. But you'll be glad when you know how to do this next year!

May 4, 2009

HW due Tue., 5/5, and Wed., 5/6

Nothing is due Tuesday, but you should be working on your research.

Due Wednesday:

All research note cards for Chapter 2. The minimum is 24 cards, but the most important thing is to have enough research to cover all the topics necessary to write that chapter (see p. 4 of the packet/ think about what we talked about it class and took notes on the board). You should make little dividers on your note cards as you go along. I expect your note cards to be organized with these dividers when you turn them in.

You should also 1) revise your outline to make it right, 2) fix/write your research question/working thesis if you haven't got one, 3) expand and complete your bibliography so you have everything you need.
