If you have earned enough hours for another "wing" (10 hours, or 5 hours), you'll need to report that to Ms. Allen by Thursday, June 3. We will give out wings the last Monday chapel of school.

2. Buddy letter. Explain Chapter One of your research paper to your buddy, as that will be sent along as a "gift" in addition to your "farewell letter." It is a big compliment to have an academic paper written about you, so take it seriously and explain it.

Write up to two paragraphs answering the following questions:

1. What are some examples of community service you have done this year that have been meaningful to you? Describe them.

2. About how many hours have you done? Don't worry about exact hours. Many in your class have done "uncountable" hours.

3. What do you like or dislike about doing service? What do you get out of it?

You can add anything else you like.

Optional: Add a photo or draw a picture.

In the new book, The Vietnam War, read pp.5-11 and answer the six questions.

Continue to work on revising your research paper. Incorporate any changes you need to make into Ch. 2 and Ch. 3 based on feedback you have received so far -- or will receive in the next day or two. Deadlines below have not changed.

NOTE: Imperialism Cartoon should be an in-class assignment. If it extends to homework, it's because you did not use class time efficiently. IF YOU WERE ABSENT, IT DOES BECOME AN INDEPENDENT ASSIGNMENT THAT WILL REQUIRE SOME HOMEWORK TIME. IT IS DUE ON WEDNESDAY AT THE END OF THE DAY.

Make up a research hypothesis/thesis comparing your two immigration topics (one or two sentences). Use p. 19 of your packet.

Also, perfect your bibliography. Make sure you have 15 good resources. Proofread them, checking the bibliography format in your packet against the formatting in the online system. You are the final editor.

You should have already turned in organized note cards for an interim grades. If you haven't, do so.
