Make up a research hypothesis/thesis comparing your two immigration topics (one or two sentences). Use p. 19 of your packet.

Also, perfect your bibliography. Make sure you have 15 good resources. Proofread them, checking the bibliography format in your packet against the formatting in the online system. You are the final editor.

You should have already turned in organized note cards for an interim grades. If you haven't, do so.

TOMORROW: RESEARCH WRITING LESSON.

MAY 10 = RESEARCH METHODS TEST (bibliographies, note cards, citing sources).

Finish all notes for Ch. 2 and 3. They should be organized according to an outline. Update your bibliography and make sure it is corrected.

Continue with research. Monday is the last class day for work. Your research must be finished by Tuesday, May 5. You'll have to share books, so next weekend, you'll need to cooperate about who takes home what books. You also must have 15 books in an updated bibliography.

Some of you are behind on post-its and organization, or really need to get to work. It's your job to catch yourself up.

Also, if you are walking, sign and fill out all forms for the AIDS WALK, and register online/design web page. This must be done by Monday to get a t-shirt.

Continue taking notes for Ch. 3.

2. Working outline for Chapter Two (you could include Ch. 1 and 3 as on the sample outline in the packet if you wanted). Make sure to include all points on p. 4 of packet.
3. Make post it dividers for the main points of your outline for your note cards
4. Show evidence that you have started taking notes for Chapter Two

Due on Monday:
List top five topics for your research project. Put an asterisk * next to the topics that are from your own background.
Write a letter to your buddy.
